Finishes & Sealers

Specifying the Finish

Every system is finished with a protective sealer chosen for the surface and how it will be used. Here's what to note in your finishes schedule.

Sheen

Matte or Satin

Matte keeps the raw, mineral character of the surface and is the most-specified option. Satin lifts the colour slightly and reads with more depth under directional light. Both are sampled on your chosen colour before we commit.

Sealers

Matched to the Surface

An approved compatible protective finish is selected for the decorative material, location, use, exposure, appearance and maintenance needs. In wet areas it protects the decorative finish but does not replace the compliant waterproofing membrane.

Wet Areas & Floors

Showers, Bathrooms, Floors

Wet areas are built over a waterproofing membrane with the coating carried through junctions as a continuous surface. For floors and shower bases, slip-resistant finishing options are available — tell us the location and we'll specify the appropriate texture in the system spec.
